The End
The cries of dying men turned the rants to sorrows
Amped to fight before, now they stand with hands to fallen
Soldiers, men who left their families & plan to return in August
In a lawless land they fight for America - the land they honor
Among these is a man named Samuel Brandon Broughton
Whose clothes are soaked with blood from his friends Stanley's collar
The frantic calling, for help left him landing - falling
Promising hope left him shelled - sprawled - on hand & knee crawling
With thoughts of how this battle began, how Sam's end had all started...
The Beginning of the End....
To fill a gaping void since boyhood Samuel joined the Army
Hardley thought for family 'till he met and married Violet Barkley
They were soulmates but a war waged as he planted his family seed
So he fabricated illness and they discharged him, and granted release
One week later...
On the news he saw seventeen had been killed in an explosion-'n
Also found that one was his brother his only remaining kin
He felt the guilt on his shoulers and started foldin' in
Seein' his brother Logan go made him decide to enroll again
A foreign name he jotted down to earn back missin' pride
"What's the worse that could happen" He was nine hundred sixty sixth in line
He soon learned he was wrong when they called & asked for Sampson
Handin' the phone to her husband, Violet was more than apprehensive
The look on his face ignited her worse fears of grief
Disbelief darkened her eyes..he'd been ordered overseas..
His wife's due in June and they wouldn't be back 'till August
So for two months she'd use up, savings for their twins Tim & Thomas
The phone dropped and the tone stopped - Reality set
His throat clogged and breath fogged - His mentality fled
From the thought of his death and never seein' his kids become men
Missing their first graduation, birthday and the day they'd be wed
Thoughts raced through his brain of him missing the life he'd obtained
To bane enemies from this land would mean in action he'd prolly be slain
So days passed to his department - on the trolly he boarded
Courted by other sad faces already marked on the Mourge list
He started to ignore his, contract and run, but remembered his brother
So to his compartment he went - Seein' lovers clingin' to lovers
Held Violet in his last moments...and said "I love you, my babies mother"
To the floor she wept 'till they came to escort her like some trash
The wrath of the army'd taken her husband, a victim of the draft
The End...
Now he sat under attack claspin' a weapon with he'd made men headless
He thought before he was crippled,...Now he's completely legless
Pain had phase'd him once 'till he grew fully oblivious
When a chain of guns rained & ripped apart his fibula and tibius
Reminencing Violet and his life they had, it finally hit 'em
He wasn't a soldier for the U.S. He'd been sent over as a victim
Then bullets pelted into his chest & velvet began to drench him
He'd learned nothin' in life but now was his time of redemption
Conflictions and riddles solved, the answer was no longer pondered
Conscriptions into history meant dying today,...For tomorrow's honor.

this was a nice put together piece..though im more poetic..this was awesome man.....nice job and nice drop!....really nice assorted vocaba nd the metaphorical treason placed on this was spectacular......nothing AWED about this but it was a nice and good emotional read man and i rally felt this personally!.

i like the way u put this o ne together. the vocab was crazy and the way u explained things made it seem like u were reading the story out loud to me. I could really imagine wit this one. I like the topic of this one. It kinda makes u think about things more after u done readin it. keep up the good work i wanna see more good shit like this in the future.
