Apparently there is a bill winding it's way through congress which will have the effect of curtailing internet freedom. It's called the COPE bill (Communications Opportunity, Promotion and Enhancement Act), and it does ANYTHING but enhance and promote communications. It is a giveaway of our freedoms to corporate america.
Congress wants to give companies like AT&T and Verizon the power to decide which websites you will have access to.
It is really easy to sit back in our democracy and let our lawmakers decide what is best for us.
In this case, our congressmen and senators are choosing the wrong side because Telecoms have more money than you.
