Quote:
See -
from the time I committed, to the time of release,
I don't keep my smile gritted from the back of my teeth.
They attack my beliefs - giving grief to my views,
and simply refuse to believe I plan the map they choose.
Only the lost, confused,
and the satanic.. abuse and belittle ME.
In symmetry they rile ME, and preach ignorance as a quality.
Think to yourself..
..do wardens and guards ponder equality?
Open-endedly asked you a question for you to take a while..
till then, tell me what you make of my profile:
I'm male, 24, and divorced with 2 kids..
..the only white guy on release- with no place to live.
Yet, mountains of guiding to give,
sifting through those who hide in the mist.
Now, beyond doubt, reform IS bliss. & has made me "the man" -
not only the one I am today, but to afray in the can,
I'm the prayer of the land.
This stanza was absolutley episodic. Your openor was very creative, slightly emotional and what not. Believe me when I say you have a rare choice of words, I began to see a couple analogies in your pieces. You're the truth. And truth tops every other virtue out there. You are ingenious when it comes to poetry competitions or topical competitions such as SS, you portrayed the message well to this topic. It looked like a difficult topic through my optics, but seeing that you wrote to it, made me know that someone can actually write a full length masterpiece on one of the hardest subjects of all time. Great read man, you're a great poet.
