peace
Questions are guiding through dim lighting
and im trying to find peace in all this fighting
realizing surviving is more then living here
we’re steering the wheel driving our fear
romancing contracts to kill enemies on contact
with attacking combatants we combat combat
swirl lies to monopolize lives till they die
while preachers speak on our so called afterlives
im asking why truth was never derived
it just festered boiled and bubbled inside
deprived and angered, cursing at strangers
attacking secretaries of defense to avoiding danger
collin and his pals got there heads up there colon
callin’ for freedom while lives are being stolen
innocence is depleted like water in iraq
but they got oil so we kill them for that
peace has got a whole new meaning
pieces I’ve seen lately leave bleeding
were greeting with pieces to create peace
this is a war on terrorism to make peace
so I take this piece of mine to speak
teach about pieces left from mines unleashed
and contradictory it seems
doesn’t anyone else see?
And im pinning through catechisms
scanning religion for wisdom
humming hymns to him (god)
settling for a state of confusion within
the nations relations are segregated
as realizations of imitations regulated
limitations caved in and we face it
wasted youth afraid of truth’s bases
so we round home plate confound
profound sound advice is drown down
now were boggled, lost in the bright sun
many directions, but cant find the right one
looks like this fight won, dead individuals
all that resides inside homes are residuals
and im miserable cuz I couldn’t stop it
so I hide behind bushs, find a flag and rock it
peace has got a whole new meaning
pieces I’ve seen lately leave bleeding
were greeting with pieces to create peace
this is a war on terrorism to make peace
so I take this piece of mine to speak
teach about pieces left from mines unleashed
and contradictory it seems
doesn’t anyone else see?
Situations im placed in are stimulating
chasin’ freedom only to see sand erase it
grave dangers place strangers side by side
internalized conflictions arise and divide
as time winds past the soft lost past
leaving here to face now, afflicted and harassed
stripes strip rights, so I turn to the left
to see blue and red embed us to be cleft
I’ve seen no evidence of honesty in politics
so like oil and water we just don’t mix
the populous is inebriated off poisonous lies
that’s why we don’t hear their graves cry
were fat, gassed laughing at all others
power turned us sour, were killing brothers
in the land of eternal summers we lost
fighting for oil, we found out our cost
a human life for 50 cents per barrel
this is my call to all the apocalypse is herald
peace has got a whole new meaning
pieces I’ve seen lately leave bleeding
were greeting with pieces to create peace
this is a war on terrorism to make peace
so I take this piece of mine to speak
teach about pieces left from mines unleashed
and contradictory it seems
doesn’t anyone else see?

you did great on this. the imagry you create is awesome. You did it very poetic like yet it had a strong hip hop vibe which i liked a lot. Your had decent rhyme scheme, although i felt you could have been better, and a i felt a few things were worded oddly. You internals made your flow even better, although it was perfect anyway. Great structure and set up.
overall, dope piece. Liked it alot. not your best but its DAMN good.
hit poetic combat plz

Man, why didn't you tell me you dropped a piece when we were just speaking? lol.
I liked this piece, very poetic and deep imo, I wasnt really feeling the chorus part... It was nice, but I think breaking this up with it didnt give this as much depth as it should of had, you seemed tocover it up with the hook or whatever. You're vocab was strong on this one, and your flow was very poetic, I could hear this as more of a spoken poem that an open mic, your voice was strong throughout. Your imagery was there, and your emotion was strong, you seemed to just be airing your opinions and making us listen, I liked that. Overall man, this was a great piece from you, your elevation lately has been superb, thanks for the read.

Niiiice, this has got to be made into an audio man. You managed to keep by interest for the whole piece, which is difficult to do. Your rhymne scheme is getting better with every piece you drop and your vocab was strong. The imagery, more than anything else, stood out for me on this one. And although the topic is a well travelled one, you brought some new life to it. Kudos.

This was absolutely superb. It had incredible multies, and some excellent imagery. Flowed very well too, and approached the topic incredibly well. I loved the line about finding a flag to rock. The hook was great too. Very nice piece in all. I'll look forward to hearing the audio version.
Can you do me a favour and leave feedback in my Open mic, Life cycle? I'd greatly appreciate it (links in my sig).
