people live in dictatorship, communism and democracy
two of those do as they say, and one rhymes with hypocrisy
now britains turnin into a mockery thats gotten to be,
run so sloppily, gettin on my nerves
under Americas shadow picture the Union Jack, stars n stripes all merged
we've become the obdedient spurs digging into the rib cage of the States
millions protested against the war in the UK, but now were all on the end of the hate
& now there'll always be a smear of blood on double decker buses
always be fear embedded in the face of that victim on crutches
who wished he'd been luckless, and missed his bus that morning
instead he saw a man explode without warning
traffic stopped and the emergency services came swarming
to see a bus shorn in, to a single decker not two
and then another blast, this time it came from the tube
and then another and another til peoples amazement grew,
when they heard that the underground was bathed in blue,
the blood didn't oxidise from the insane few ,i'm sure that that much is true
cos nobody could bleed red unless their conscience was clear
an now bombs are constantly near thoughts that lead to a tear
sometimes i think how simple shit was
when the most dangerous weapon here, was a man that wielded a spear
and he only killed to eat , killed to feast
hunger owned his thoughts as he slit the belly of the beast
now a different hungers here to beat a path to Heaven
brainwashed kids believe that blasts are their last resort to step in,
through the door of Allahs paradise, to be with their brethren
from 9 / 11 to the Iraqi rebellion a new bloodshed was born
& London is bleeding from THAT war, as the terrorists snapped back
it was nothin complex, jus some public transport and a backpack
that kept the terrorists plan of attack on track
but hitting the underground was nothing new
instead of protectin the landmarks money shoulda gone down the tube
the gas attacks in Tokyo musta faded from view
but no matter how tight you tie the knot there'll always be a loop
we protected Big Ben, the parliament building and downing street
so bombers hit the working class who were slayed on their feet
yeh they'll make it back home alright, wrapped inside a flag sheet
and these events have had me, looking on in disgust
after a bombin its hard to see thru the dust, as the Labour party falls from trust
as they lose all touch, from the people who voted them in
now they're mere ghosts from within,they're reputations are coated in sin,
as they got caught square on the chin with far eastern knuckles
if we weren't ready for the ride at least we shoulda been buckled
instead of havin our feathers ruffled with a Jansport and a one way ticket
& no matter where he is, now Tony Blair has to live with it
i guess after the G8 and Olympic bid success somethin had to kill the elation
and make an ill minded illustration with the capitals stations
i'm pissed off that,
tax payers money isn't goin towards the NHS or education
its that bullet killin a civillian, or bomb landscaping another nation
& Britains tag partners in this situation in an illegal war
without a thought for the men and women that have died for,
a piggyback on Bushs' campaign to settle his old mans score
whos cold hands oversaw his plans
and told him you dont get blood on your hands
if you have colleagues who can act smartly
in a system that touches the surface, through a third party
now anger is a big part of me
i'm sick of the lies politicians kick between them and their henchmen
i guess its just rewards.. for not enough people voting against them
thus theres heightened tension,and this saga has years to stand
ignorance is bliss when the bloods on the other hand

I live just outside London; I'm from Essex. I was thinking maybe of going up to London at some point during the summer, on the train, but I'm too scared. So yeah, this is most definitely all very relevant stuff to me. I think I agree with other dude, some lines were a bit stretched, but I'm not sure if it's just me, the way I read it. Strong topic, if a little uncreative. I liked the message, and the emotion that was put into writing this. Pretty strong, enjoyable read, kudos - worthy of a HOF nomination I think, actually - this month's have been shocking, but I need to get something in there. =/
