Practice Makes Poetry [A message to all Poets]

I want to make it so hard to understand that my poetry is simple.
I want there to be nothing but meaning.
I would hate it if you really loved it.
I would gasp to hear it took your breath away.
I want it to be really deep nonsense.
I want it to be the stuff that nightmares dream about.
I should work on it, but...
I should believe in keeping the faith too...
I want a poem that is beautifully wrong, in many ways.
I want many ways to make a poem beautifully wrong.
I could prove destiny is nothing more than choices.
I could decide to let fate pave the way to solo voices.

But past regrets are always coming in tomorrow's mail and it never fails that our poetic condition is just another teardrop rinse away. What I mean truly is that surely if emotion racks us black, we can still find a poem in simply... doing. Choose never to write what isn't your greatest mediocre stanza.
So lift up your pens...
and uplift the world...

I love the structure switch. It gives the second half greater meaning. A clear, concise, and simple message that is delivered with loving lines. For such a simple poem, this is really fucking good. I say... A

Although I think you spoke very elegantly on this, you also seem to characterize the beginning lines of your poem. But maybe that is the beauty in all of this, that it's a complete contradiction of what we propose the poet to be. I'm also glad to see you writing with more conviction now. You've really impressed me with this though. Now hurry up and write your verse for our collab.

^Agreed, the contradictions in the first part served to stir up intrigue however the second part of your poem is really what stole the show, the voice was very honest and refreshing, it seemed like a very real and easily accesible piece and yet it had a message that probably will go above most readers' heads, fine job man, nice work, 1luv.

It's a nice way of communicating. And it develops a complex community. I guess it's just that most people don't wanna dig into 'conceited' or for use of a better word 'cryptic' pieces. Which is usually the 'problem'. It's attempts fall silent cos it's built on thin or unconditioned foundations. Picasso didn't go straight to his abstract way of painting. These modern artists making statements by drinking piss in front of thirsty Africans started off drawing and painting like normal.

Er, i liked the piece. It had a feel to it which i most definetly dug. Though the ending was a bit cringe-worthy and therefore an anti-climax to an otherwise very nice, genuine (and i aint just talking about it being 'true subject matter') piece.

it really depends on the reader for the end... my wife thought it was cheesy but others have been inspired... it's really a toss up i think
