[ Brit-Hop ] Valentines Verse One
Started writing this last night in time for today, but it seemed a
waste to rush the second half just to get it finished. I'll edit the full
piece probably next week when ive finished it. Consider this as a
preview if you will:
It started back when I was seventeen ..
Id never seen anyone as svelte, sublime ..
.. or saccharine as her;
Had to letter know, how I felt inside.
So I wrote her one,
Revealing she held my heart - there in her fist
& how id hoped to run -
my fingers through her hair as we kissed
With beauty to provoke the sun ..
.. I didn't care to resist.
She fuelled the fire of this fools desire, as I stared at her with -
An acquired admiration.
It was now or never ..
.. sounds stupid, but at the time, somehow the weather ..
.. seemed to change.
Seething rain ceased to beat the panes.
I handed the note over;
Sank into my seat again ..
.. Expecting the cold shoulder, but pretty soon we became -
Livinous nomads,
Revelling in the ribbon of romance ..
.. Raising a middle finger to those who'd given us no chance.
